1890s
1898-La primera CONRAD HUBERT founds the Eveready Battery Company. He invented the first electric hand torch, or flashlight, consisting of dry-cell batteries and a rough brass reflector inside a paper-tube.
1920s
The EVEREADY® battery brand begins to expand across the globe over the next three decades.
1930s
The Cat & 9 launch as the EVEREADY® icon.
1950s
Eveready Battery Company invents the first commercially viable cylindrical alkaline battery. Among other firsts were Eveready’s invention of miniature batteries for hearing aids, the 9 volt battery, and commercial watch batteries.
1960s
The EVEREADY® brand becomes a household name for batteries around the world.
1990s
Eveready introduces the first carbon zinc battery with zero mercury.
2004
Automotive batteries are launched under the EVEREADY® brand.
2006
The first EVEREADY® rechargeable batteries are introduced.
2007
The first EVEREADY® LED flashlight launches.
2014
